The Suburban Exodus: Are We There Yet?

This article critiques the "suburbs are dying" thesis by fundamentally challenging the assumptions behind claims that there will be an excess of detached housing on large lots in the future (what Leinberger suggests could be the next "slums") and details how, even ignoring flawed assumptions, the trends from 2000 to 2008 are actually toward more detached housing and less attached housing.
